| Stainless Steel Hawkins Contura is crafted from AISI 304 food-grade stainless steel. The external base, made of AISI 430 magnetic stainless steel, ensures induction compatibility. The 6.6 mm thick sandwich bottom guarantees uniform heating without hotspots, remains flat and resilient. The rounded sides facilitate easier stirring, better visibility, and effortless removal of food. The inside-fitting lid ensures pressure-locking akin to a jetliner door. The improved pressure regulator enhances efficiency and also contributes to fuel savings. The safety valve, strategically placed under the lid handle bar, ensures that when activated, steam is safely deflected downwards. The design minimizes exposure of gasket to steam inside the cooker, preserving its longevity by reducing wear during regular use.
